What does Upward Bound mean to you? How has it changed you overall?
This is my 15th Summer with Upward Bound and I love it.
How has it changed me? You guys give me hope that our future is in good hands especially in these difficult times. You are hands down the best that your generation has to offer and I will continue to brag about you to all of my friends and family.

What influenced/inspired you to become a teacher?
I was raised to believe that social conscience is important. Throughout my life I have heard the phrase "If you're not a part of the solution then you are a part of the problem." As such I have come to believe that we as humans need to give back at least as much as we take. In keeping with this my work with Upward Bound and the Instructional Center will hopefully help others to have the same educational and social opportunities that I have had.

What do you enjoy doing during your free time?
Reading, calculating fractals, computer gaming, photography, ... 
I also have three fish tanks and I hope that soon I will have a fourth.

What is your favorite color? Why?
When I was around twenty, I saw the coral reefs near Lahaina Maui and they were a beautiful aqua blue that took my breath away. Since then aqua blue is my favorite color.

What is one weird fact about you that we don't know right off the bat?
There are so many things. Where to start...where to start...?
