American sign language is taught by Jennifer Stack. In this class we learn a unqiue tool of the trade: the American Sign Language. It is the first time ASL is offered in Upward Bound, and it will transfer as high school foreign language credits. It is as useful learning this language as if you were learning a foreign language. It teaches us repect to those who have disabilites and an understanding background of how life with ASL can be worthwhile.
