1) When you were younger what did you want to be?

2) When you were younger what superhero did you pretend/want to be and why?

Wonder Woman

3) Who do you think is the most memorable student in Upward Bound and why?
I’m sorry, I don’t have A “most memorable student” there are so many that I cannot choose. Each student has their own special gifts, talents and personalities. What I do admire and appreciate in all the UB grads is their willingness to “Pay it forward”. Many, many students remain in touch with UB and whenever I ask them to reach out to current UB students to educate, encourage and help, they do. In fact, UB grads are always happy to serve. When they do, I file it in my memory bank with a smile and lots of gratitude.

4) How was your first year in Upward Bound? Did you have a hard time working with the students?
My first year with UW UB was fantastic. The students were very welcoming and quickly allowed me into their worlds.

5) When you were little who was the best teacher you ever had?
In the third grade I attended Kimball Elementary on Beacon Hill. I had a young teacher whose name was Miss Connor.  Miss Connor was a very energetic and creative educator. In addition, she was a talented singer and musical artistic. She taught the entire third grade class how to play the ukulele and those who became advanced, the guitar. We had so much fun rockin out on our ukuleles and guitars as we sang at the top of our lungs. I thought she was the most beautiful and elegant bride as the entire third grade class attended her wedding.
