Teacher Assistant: Landon Kim (IC Annex, Room 102 - IC Computer Lab)

This is the class that created this site. The UB web class helps students develop the technological skills that are needed to create a website such as this. We learned the basics of web and graphics and editing techniques. We learn how to organize files, interviews, take pictures, gather information, and meet deadlines. This class mainly requires the use of Photoshop CS5 and Dreamweaver. Students learn how to create and manipulate images with Photoshop and also how to create and link whole websites with Dreamweaver. Byron says, "I like seeing people "rise to the occasion" when they are given a difficult task. All of the students have a lot of potential and I'm always happy when I see it come out of them after a job well done."

We learned about the basics of Photoshop and Dreamweaver on the first week of class. In the second week, we had to make our personal websites and we started to choose the sections of the website we want to work on for our final product. In the weeks after that, we all worked diligently on our sections and had our group presentations at the end of each week to show what we have accomplished. In the last week of the class, we finished our product and made our final presentations. By the end of the summer we will have created this year's web magazine, a site which is a kind of yearbook commemorating the summer academy. It is a very fun class.
