Instructor: Johanna Gusman (Gates Hall Room 119)

In this class, students learn how to give direct and cross examinations and all of the different stages of the mock trial and the ins and outs of public speaking in order to prepare them for a mock trial. Students are learning each of the major stages of a mock trial (opening arguments, direct and cross examinations, closing arguments, etc.) so that they can participate in practice trial at the end of the quarter with increased capacities in public speaking and thinking critically. Gusman's favorite part of class is watching the students grow in their abilities to write and speak publicly.
