Instructor: Martin Jarmick (Raitt Hall, room 129)

Students learn how to record, edit, and compose digital audio in this class. Each week, we will approach a new technical aspect of digital media including editing, audio, shooting techniques, interactive media, and special effects/graphics. The purpose is for students to access their creativity, and express themselves through digital media tools. Jarmick loves seeing what the students produce and hearing their ideas. This course has two main components. One is lab time in-class where they cover fundamental techniques and tools in digital video editing, audio, shooting technique, post-production, pre-production, interactive media, and effects. The second component is the homework, where the students articulate their ideas and interests in essay form, and hand them in each week.
