Touring Seattle the Uncommon Places

From a tourist's point of view, Seattle is most affiliated with the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, but I know a couple of other places in Seattle that are beautiful to the eye, yet not popular to the tourist visiting. Why would anybody want to go and visit a place where everybody goes? I am aware of a couple of very stimulating and "up-beat" places.

For instance, at Carkeek Park, you can do basically anything. If you want to walk up into the hills (which are suffocated by trees of all types ranging from Evergreen to Disiguas) or take a walk on one of the many trails, you can do that. While you are walking, you can listen to the birds chirp, and if you're quiet enough you can also hear the crickets chirping.

However, if you don't like being surrounded by the forest atmosphere, you can take along walk on the beach. If you want, you can go searching for seashells, or check-out the sea anenomes who tend to squirm away from you once you have them in your grasp. You can also watch out for sea crabs; if you pick up the rock that they call home you might in for a big pinch.

After your long day of exploring you can go to the picnic area and relax, or throw yourself a B-B-Q. I would suggest doing this while watching the sunset with its vast colors ranging from hot burning fire to streaks of dandelion yellow. With the warm pressure beating on your face there is no way you can help but to doze off for a little cat nap while the sun goes down.

Maybe you enjoy being active under the sun instead of relaxing under it. You might try taking a walk on Broadway in the area known as Capitol Hill. On Broadway you can buy some of the funkiest clothes, at some of the funkiest stores. There are styles to suit anybody. Whether you like the retro look, grung gear, or big baggy clothes, you'll be able to find something that appeals to you on this fascinating street.

After a long day of shopping you'll obviously be hungry. Why not stop off a nd grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants located on Broadway. You think you are traveling from country to country because of the different foods that are offered. Culturally these foods are different and in taste; you can find foods ranging from Curry Chicken from India, to Gyros from Greece. The food will mesmerize your taste buds, and will make you want to come back for more.

All in all, you can do so much in Seattle, exploring different places, ant tasting different foods. It 's a wonderful place to visit, and an even better place to live here. People say "you are a product of your environment", and I'm happy to say I truly am: peaceful yet adventurous.
