"A MAGICAL WONDER"

"Oh! How beautiful can you get when the sun goes over your mountains and you shine like a jewel. The spectacle of your glamrous buildings lightens up in the night time. You surround us with your views and give us a place to enjoy your sites just like the Space Needle. Oh! Seattle WA., how beautiful can you be? "

I will never forget the memories and the pictures that Seattle had given me. Especially one particular night when I went up to the space needle for the very first time. As I sat in the lobby waiting for the elevator, the excitement and nervousness feeling in my body that made me think, should I go or not? But I wondered what the views were going to look like. Plus being a kid with a lot of imagination, I just wanted to see the stars closer that I could ever get to them.

As the elevator lifted, I saw lights beginning to glimmer from buildings and street lights. I felt as if I were in another world. I think I was so scared. I never had the chance to think about something else and the only thing I could remember was that we were going higher and higher. The heights stopped my emotions and I was frozen for a few minutes. My mind went into another dimension.I felt my head turning just like a wheel of a car, looking around at what's underneath and what's above me. In both directions there were lights shining like I was in the middle of a light show or a Chrismast light competition. Everywhere I saw lights blinking in many colors.

As we reached the top , There I finally saw the whole view of Seattle. I popped in a quarter and used one of the telescopes to helped me see farther. I remember how a car looked like a little bug. People were in line at gift shops, wanting to buy a souvenir to remember that they had experienced the Space Needle. My mom bought me was a glow-in-the dark star to stick on my bedroom wall in order to remember close was I to the stars. As we walked back into the elevator lobby and waited for the elevator to come up, my imagination went into full-gear; my experience at the top of the Space Needle made me think that someday I will join the stars and float like an angel, like an astronaut who explore many planets. But suddenly we descended to the bottom of the lobby and the only thing I heard was my mom telling me "Edwin come back to earth, roger." I repliied, "Roger, I copy."

As I stepped into the car I fell asleep and dreamed about the stars that I saw and the buildings that look like Christmas lights. Seattle a place of many wonders, a magical place being for children to explore.
