"The Park"

More than a month has passed since my girlfriend and I shared, one memorable night. It was a night to cherish forever. All this happened at an open park with the view of beautiful Lake Washington. We thought it was so nice that we stayed for several hours, close to the water. It was truly unforgettable the water was so calm that it seemed to be taking a nap. You could also feel the serenity of the place. The serenity seemed to gives us inner peace, protecting us from the world' s noise and complexities.

Oh, how I was inspired by the clear reflection of Downtown Seattle on the water. Gazing at the reflection of this beautiful city, it was really easy to imagine what it would be like if it actually existed in the water. Looking down in the water, Seattle revealed glistening buildings. They had the characteristics of many different heights, shapes, and designs. Every detail of the skyscrapers were lit up on the water by colorful and shiny lights. The lights seemed only to come alive upon that very night, and that gave us more reason to, want to stay all night. Time stood still because of such a wonderful scene.

To my left side, I saw big and small boats that were resting by the docks, being hugged by tight ropes that kept them from drifting off. There were sailboats that had these long and tall poles that mounted the sails real high up almost touching the sky. But what I loved most of all was all of the reflections on the water. The full moon on the water was part of the way the the water was lit up so colorfully. Little stars twinkled and outlined the moon side by side, making the view in the water feel so together in nature.

It was really a great time in my life to have witnessed one of God's marvelous creations. Looking at that image of the city in the water made us feel the blessings that He had given us and realized how wonderful it is to be His child. Having my girlfriend there next to me and sharing this moment really made me feel good.

I didn't want the night to end but it was time to get home before curfew. But first we got out of the car and touched the water. We both got back in the car and thanked each other for this night. Then we drove off for home. I will never forget this place and it will always be in my heart.
