My family is from Laos which is located in Southeast Asia. In my family I have 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. My family supported themselves by farming, because over there, they didn't have that much money.

We'd wake up early in the morning to go farming, but my 2 younger sisters, and my other 2 younger brothers would stay home and feed the animals. Over here in the U.S. we support ourselves by working. My family usually eats plants such as cabbage, young bamboo shoots, and much more that I can't remember; and we always eat rice to keep us healthy. In the U.S. we eat meat with rice almost all the time. In Laos only a few people go to school because most families prefer their children to help them with farming, and feed animals. If your crops don't grow than you will have to go work for other people free, and than later that day, they will give you a little food to feed your family. In my family only I go to school, because I am the oldest in my family. School was pretty tough back where I came from. And living in the U.S., we all go to school. Also in Laos we built our house by ourselves. Our house is built out of wood. But in the U.S. my house is built out of wood, brick, and metal.
