First Notice:
Innovative Confinement Concepts Workshop, 2004 ("ICC2004")
ICC2004 will be held in Madison, Wisconsin from Tuesday, May 25 to
Friday (noon), May 28, 2004.. The Program Committee will be
reviewing the many suggestions from the community at and following
ICC2003 in preparing an agenda. Additional comments and suggestions
are welcome and can be sent to Bick Hooper (hooper1@llnl.gov).
Local arrangements:
Meeting place: Monona Terrace Convention Center, downtown Madison
(http://www.mononaterrace.com/)
Conference hotel: Inn on the Park (http://www.innonthepark.net/),
$69/night + taxes. Ask for the "ICC 2004" block. Toll free
reservations: 800-279-8811 ; Fax: 608-257-5995. The convention center
is a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Transportation: Madison's Dane County Airport (MSN) has direct connections
to most major airline hubs. The Inn on the Park provides courtesy car
service (contact the hotel directly). Bus service to Madison is also
available from Chicago O'Hare and Milwaukee airports, and from the Chicago
Amtrak station.

2. 2004 General Atomics Rosenbluth Award for Fusion Theory
// ----------------------------------------------------------------------
General Atomics has announced the Rosenbluth Award for Fusion Theory.
The award is aimed at scientists in their early careers. It constitutes a
visiting or post-doc position at GA working on a mutually agreed on theory
topic. The salary for the post-doc will come from GA's funding sources. In
addition, GA will provide a stipend of $25K/year to be used toward living
expenses and other costs.
