After receiving a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Washington in 2003, Jason worked at the Urban Land Institute (ULI). There he coauthored Creating Walkable Places: Compact Mixed-Use Environments (2006) and Affordable Housing; Designing an American Asset (2005). In addition, Jason edited over 100 case studies in ULI's online Development Case Studies series (casestudies.uli.org). Jason is currently a doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington. He is interested in the relationship between walkable environments and health.
