Join us in a UW faculty panel and discussion addressing different aspects the role of history in human settlements. Our panelists represent a broad spectrum of research and scholarship such as Anthropology, History, Urban Economics and Geography, and Geosciences.
To set the ground work for our panelists we have asked them each to think about 2 questions
1) What does the role of history of human settlement play in understanding how cities have become what they are and how they work?
2) What does looking at the history of huma settlement tell us about the future of cities?
Each panelist will have 15 minutes to introduce themselves, their research and a brief response to these questions before the beginning of the panel discussion
