Washington Park Arboretum

The Washington Park Arboretum is a spectacular urban green space on the shores of Lake Washington just east of downtown Seattle and south of the University of Washington. Its 230 acres comprise a dynamic, living museum with collections of oaks, conifers, camellias, Japanese maples and hollies that are known internationally as our country's largest.

Pacific Connections Garden

The newest garden in the Arboretum, the Pacific Connections Garden will display plants from around the Pacific Rim. The first phase opened in September 2008 and features a central meadow, interpretive shelter, and five entry gardens representing Chile, China, New Zealand, Australia, and Cascadia. Future phases will include the creation of vast eco-geographic forests from specific regions in each of the five countries.
