Education
Dr. Brannen received his MD from Northwestern School of Medicine and trained in general surgery and urology at Duke University and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also took a fellowship in kidney transplantation at the University of Colorado. He was a member of the urology staff at the Virginia Mason Clinic for over 20 years specializing in stone and transplantation surgery.
Dr. Brannon then became a global medicine doctor working in Cameroon, Africa for three years. He joined the faculty of the University of Washington as a professor of urology.
Dr Brannon received his master's degree in tropical medicine from the University of London. In addition to practicing general urology at UWMC and VAMC, Dr Brannon runs the department's third-world program working in Africa for seven months of the year.
Accomplishments
Dr. Brannon has authored or co-authored over 80 publications or chapters.
