Dr. Krieger has published and lectured widely and is considered one of the foremost experts on prostatitis and genitourinary infections. He has a large, well-funded research and clinical program and had more than 325 published articles, including many articles in high-impact journals.

Education
Dr. Krieger graduated with honors from both Princeton University and Cornell University Medical College, where he received the Coryell award for excellence in surgery.
Training
Dr. Krieger trained in general and urological surgery at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center where he was appointed Instructor in Urology during his year as Chief Resident.
Additional training: As one of very few urologists in the world with substantial training in infectious diseases, Dr. Krieger completed additional training as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Medical Microbiology at Cornell University and a two year fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
Honors
Dr. Krieger was an American Urological Association Scholar and is currently an editor or on the editorial boards of five medical journals. He is active in many professional societies including the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Society for Microbiology, and the Society for Infection and Inflammation in Urology, among others.
He has received many awards and is sought after as a visiting professor. Dr. Krieger is an advisor and/or consultant for the Prostate Health Council, the American Urological Association, the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health, and the World Health Organization.
