Make a Gift. Make a Difference.
For more than 100 years, thousands of people like you have supported UW Urology with gifts of time, talent and financial support. This generosity enables us to provide expert, compassionate care in our region to those in need. There are many ways for you to help.
Volunteers are valued members of the UW Urology and Medicine healthcare team. Each year hundreds of men and women contribute their valuable time and energy through thousands of hours of service to improve the lives of patients, families and staff at Harborview Medical Center and UW Medical Center.
UW Medicine volunteers are supportive, resourceful and caring. Volunteers serve in many ways throughout our medical centers – in clinical and inpatient areas, administrative departments and in guest relations or customer service.
Volunteers support patients and visitors by escorting patients to clinic appointments and other locations in the medical center; facilitating family and visitor contact with staff; socializing with patients; and assisting medical center staff as needed.
Volunteers also work behind the scenes in administrative departments by providing clerical support to medical offices, restocking and delivering supplies, running errands, and distributing books and magazines to patient rooms and waiting areas. Those who serve are the faces of hospitality in our patient and family resource centers, reception areas and gift shops.
To find out more about the many volunteer opportunities at UW Medicine, please visit Volunteer Services at Harborview Medical Center or UW Medical Center Volunteer Services.
Both medical centers are great places to learn, contribute and grow.

Make a Gift
With the help of our generous contributors, UW Urology is saving lives throughout the Northwest and around the world. As one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers, UW Urology raises funds for crucial programs and services through financial contributions and gifts.
Much of the good we accomplish in research, teaching and patient care is made possible by the private support of people and organizations who underwrite leading-edge research programs, fund scholarships for promising students, and support world-class faculty members.
We are dedicated to UW’s mission of improving the health of the public and building partnerships with people and organizations who believe in our work in health care, research and education.
