Interpreter Services

UW Medicine embraces and serves a linguistically rich and culturally diverse patient population. We are committed to providing equal access and culturally competent health care to all patients and families who require our services. 
We are dedicated to responding to the language and communication needs of our patients by providing appropriate and timely language support services by qualified medical interpreters 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Interpreter Services include:

• No cost medical interpretation (in person and by telephone) in more than 80 languages and dialects 

• Communication assistance for blind patients 

• Communication assistance for patients who are deaf or hard-of-hearing 

Our goal is to deliver the most comprehensive and compassionate health care in the language that best meets our patients’ needs.
