Profile
Dr. Wright is a UW assistant professor of urology and staff physician at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He is also an affiliate researcher at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He specializes in urologic oncology, treating bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular and penile cancers.
In addition to his clinic at the UW Medical Center, Dr. Wright is seeing patients at the UW Neighborhood Factoria Clinic in Bellevue.
His patient care goal is to provide the highest level of medical and surgical care in a compassionate environment in which the patient is an active member of the team. Learn more about one patient's experience. All urologic cancers, including bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular and penile. He performs both robotic/laparoscopic and traditional open surgery. Spending time with his wife and three children, playing tennis and exercising. Dr. Wright studies the epidemiology of prostate cancer risk and progression. His specific research interest is in the role of obesity and nutrition in prostate cancer. He also studies genetic aspects of prostate cancer.
In addition to teaching surgical skills, Dr. Wright is interested in teaching residents the importance of interpersonal skills at the bedside. From a research perspective, he teaches epidemiologic and data analytic techniques to help residents develop independent research skills. English Urology
