Urology Clinics - UW Medical Center
Urogynecology
The Urogynecology Clinic at the University of Washington Medical Center provides care to women with
- pelvic floor disorders, such as urinary and fecal incontinence,
- vaginal prolapse,
- interstitial cystitis,
- recurrent urinary tract infections and female sexual dysfunction.
The clinic takes a multidisciplinary approach by involving urologists and gynecologists in patient care. Within this clinic are two gynecologists and two urologists who are fellowship-trained in urogynecology. We also have a full time nurse practitioner who has worked in the field of urogynecology for 15 years and is well versed in all pelvic floor disorders. Patients are offered both surgical and non-surgical care for pelvic floor disorders. In additional, there are a variety of clinical trials addressing pelvic pain syndromes that are actively enrolling patients.
The Urogynecology Clinic is one of only a few in the country that can offer multidisciplinary care to women with pelvic floor disorders. We are proud of our ability to care for the total patient and value the time we devote to each patient in order to understand their concerns. We welcome complex problems but also enjoy treating routine pelvic floor disorders. Read about the clinic opening. [31K PDF*]
