IM’s primary role is to provide for the technical infrastructure supporting University Advancement.  Main areas of service include training and support on Advance, network administration, reporting, and application development.  Work groups within IM are:

The Data Management team consists of staff who provide accuracy and integrity of the alumni/donor database, Advance through a broad range of services from individual customer service updates via and Reportal’s Bio Updates form, to constituency group management and data loads, to large scale inter-system data integration.

ATS provides a technical training program, application deployment serviceds, and HelpDesk support for Advancement’s core applications including and primarily focusing on Advance, the alumni/donor database, applications supporting broad-based email marketing (Convio Luminate Online), and online event registration (Cvent). Desktop support is provided in partnership with UWIT’s Nebula group for the central Advancement staff including Alumni Relations.

Reporting Group
Associate Director:  Alex Ichinoe

The Reporting Group provides all internal and external reports regarding fundraising and alumni relations activities for the University of Washington.  Reporting is delivered online via the Reportal and ReportWriter.NET online reporting systems, via standard published reports (eg. Advancement Report ), and by ad hoc request.

Strategic Technology Initiatives (STI) – Web Development
Lead Software Developer:  Ryan Hagg
STI is tasked with identifying Advancement-wide opportunities for technical improvement and creating solutions to help create efficiencies. Products that are currently in development within and supported by STI are the online giving website, HYDRA, Convio functionality and external data loading.
