In the Advancement Staff Directory, you will now see that staff names are linked to individual staff profiles. These profiles are customizable by each staff member. The first time you click a link within the directory, you’ll be prompted to log in with your UW NetID to view the profile. Click on your own name to update your profile and add your photo! Please note that only those who have logged in with their UW NetID can see the staff profiles, and remember to adhere to the Profile Guidelines when uploading your photo.

Please join your fellow Advancement colleagues on Thursday, December 13 from 3 to 5PM for our annual potluck holiday gathering. This year’s event includes super-secret special guests, LIVE entertainment and a bona fide cookie contest judged by UW Stars. Keeping in the spirit of the season and with our UW mission, we’re also partnering with a local charity to help make the season brighter for others.

Tomorrow’s University Today:  Launched by President Michael K. Young during his 2012 Annual Address, Tomorrow’s University Today is a presidential initiative that aims to positively impact communities in the Pacific Northwest and around the globe. An internal toolkit is now available to help you weave these ideas into your marketing and communications plans. It includes customizable templates.

Eleven months after launching the new UA Intranet, we are happy to announce UA Intranet  2.0.  Sounds good, you think, but what are you getting?

• Fresh home page with streamlined buttons, a better Consolidated Calendar display, and revamped scrolling Advancement Announcements posts.
• Conversations, which includes the following:
• Staff Profiles.  You customize with profile picture and a description of what you do.
• Groups.  Membership-based conversations allow you to manage who participates.  The first two groups are for the Intranet Leadership Team and ARRM.  If you would like to start up a new group there is a new group request page.
• Forums.  Groups have the option of using the Forum feature for private or open conversations on a top
