This pretty much mirrors what we've been seeing the last few years in
terms of AT used by DO-IT Scholars. Nearly everything we're doing now is
on PCs instead of Macs. In the AT Lab at the University of Washington, PCs
running Win98 are used almost exclusively -- almost no one uses the nice
new Mac G4s we have available.

In my mind, the basic problem with the Mac operating system is lack of
keyboard access. The Mac OS forces use of a mouse (or some sort of
pointer). This has significant implications for accessibility when
compared to the Windows platform for everything from screen reader use to
mobility accommodations to speech input.
