Nan -- there has been a great deal written about this, much of it by the
Trace Center http://www.tracecenter.org/. Georgia State University ITTATC
www.ittatc.org has been funded by the U.S. Dept. of Ed. to develop
training materials, increase awareness, etc. around accessible Electronic
and Information Technology (the items on your list all fall into this
category under Section 508 of the Rehab Act) for consumers, business, and
government and we at the U.W. were funded to do the same for K-12 and
post-secondary education through our National Center on Accessible
Information Technology in Education, www.washington.edu/accessit. The
Disability Technical Assistance Centers http://www.adata.org/dbtac.html
are charged by the Dept. of Ed. with providing technical assistance and
training for each region.
