Dear Eric and Heather,
Sending hugs and best wishes for a good communication evaluation
by a speech pathologist and occupational therapist and perhaps
a neuropsychologist and a psychiatrist.
Total communication interpretation by the family is helpful.
If she can express YES and NO and MMMM? for maybe,
some communication will take place.
Picture boards are helpful. Photographs laminated on a key ring
can be helpful.
Hoping for better suggestions from some really talented professionals
for your grandmother.
