Hi Sean,

A number of options are available, from quite inexpensive to
top-of-the-line.

For an easy (and free) TTS product, check out ReadPlease free version.
www.readplease.com. User would need to cut and paste text from email into
the ReadPlease window. I have a few students using this -- they like the
price and ease of installation. They also make a Plus version that is
worth the $40 for the improved quality voices and other enhanced
capability.

A variety of products from TextHELP will do TTS on the fly in a variety of
apps, including email. www.texthelp.com -- Wordsmith is around $500 but
Gold or version 6 is also worth a look for extra functionality if it's
needed.

If budget is not an issue, WYNN Wizard from Freedom Scientific has a
talking email client, among a host of other features. including OCR. $995
or if OCR isn't needed, $425 for the WYNN Reader.
