The Washington State School for the Blind will be offering an intensive
assistive technology course this summer for JAWS and the
BrailleNote/VoiceNote.

There are still a few seats left for the July class.

This course will give teachers an opportunity to get hands on training
and practice using two of the most powerful assistive technology tools
available.

What you will learn:
JAWS reading keystrokes and commands
JAWS and the Windows environment
File and folder management (Windows Explorer)
JAWS and Microsoft Office
JAWS and the Internet
BrailleNote commands
BrailleNote Menu structure
BrailleNote file and folder management
BrailleNote Keyword (word processing)
Microsoft ActiveSync (connecting to a PC)

Instructor: Michael P. Hooks M.S. Ed. (Assistive Technology Specialist)

Dates: July 6-9 or Aug 23-26
Time: 8:30-4:00
Location: Washington State School for the Blind
Housing: Available on a limited basis
