I'm forwarding some articles on access to electronic voting systems that may
be of interest. WA state has not yet established it's state standards for
voting access equipment, but has plans to do so. Currently two
counties--Snohomish and Yakima--have implemented electronic voting systems.
As issues have mounted nationally regarding paper ballots in relation to
electronic voting machines, the issues have become even more complex when it
comes to accessibility. The journal articles below are designed to give you
some idea of the history, scope of issues and current thinking.
