In large group meetings, what technology helps people who are hard of
hearing who do not lip read nor use any kind of sign language?
Recently I learned about pocket buddy receivers which requires a
transmitter near a speaker's microphone recently. Are these available
in rural areas?
Does anyone use speech to text equipment with a reader board? I think
this is known as simultaneous captioning. Is there a business in
Washington State which does this? How much does this cost?
In the past 30 years, some of my friends who have hearing problems
leave group meetings because they can't participate very much without
some kind of technical assistance.
