Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Hower Kwon , M.D. assistant professor in the University of Washington School of Medicine, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist specializing in the assessment and treatment of children with neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders. His interest in autism began during his residency and fellowship at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Subsequently, he conducted research examining the functional and structural neuroanatomy of conditions such as autism, Asperger disorder, fragile X disorder, and Williams syndrome while a postdoctoral fellow and then senior research scientist at Stanford. In addition to his work at CHDD, he is an attending psychiatrist at the Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle.
