UW Autism Center - Tacoma

With tremendous support and advocacy from multiple sources including state Senator Marilyn Rasmussen and the Autism Society of Washington, the University of Washington has established a satellite center on the UW Tacoma campus, with the goals of increasing capacity for training, diagnostic, and intervention services, closing the waiting period for families seeking clinical services in the south Puget Sound region, and furthering community resource and outreach connections

The Autism Center at UW Tacoma now offers diagnostic, treatment, and training services to children and adolescents from birth through 18 years of age. We are adding staff to increase the team to include two psychologists, two Early Childhood Intervention Consultants, a Speech-Language Pathologist, and a Clinic Coordinator.

Long-term goals for the Center include expanding the clinical team in order to provide more comprehensive multi-disciplinary evaluations and interventions for children and adolescents as well as adding staff, resources, and technology to enhance training and ultimately to extend the Center’s reach beyond the south Puget Sound area to help address the information and clinical resource referral needs of the larger Washington State community.

The Autism Center at UW Tacoma welcomes you to contact us for information or to begin the intake process.
