Shanna Alvarez, Ph.D.
Research Scientist

Shanna Alvarez, MS, CCC-SLPShanna Alvarez is a research scientist on numerous studies at the University of Washington including the following: TADPOLE (Toddlers with Autism: Developing Opportunities for Learning), Early Steps, PATH Project (Parents and Toddlers at Home) and IBIS (Infant Brain Imaging Study).  Shanna's interests lie in early detection and treatment of developmental disabilities, mental health of children with ASD and their families, and treatment and training in low-SES and minority communities. Shanna is also a licensed speech-language pathologist, bringing knowledge of early communication development to her work as a research scientist.
