Unless arrangements have been made in advance,
most visitors to the various units of CHDD will park in the
East
Campus lot (E12) near Husky Stadium. The E12 lot is located
across Montlake Boulevard from the UWMC. Disability parking
is also available at this entrance. If your mobility impairment
prohibits almost all walking, please notify CHDD prior to
your visit. Otherwise, self-identify to the traffic guide
at the gatehouse and you will be accommodated.
Driving directions to the E12 lot
To reach this parking area from I-5 southbound, take the
NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street.
Continue east about 4/10 mile to 15th
Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue
approximately six (6) blocks to NE
Pacific Street. Turn left onto NE Pacific, staying in
the left-hand lane. Continue east to the first left turn
option; the road makes a "Y" at that traffic-lighted
intersection. Turn left onto NE Pacific Place. Continue
a short distance to Montlake Boulevard. Cross Montlake Blvd.
and enter at the front
of Husky Stadium. (You will be on a brick surface in
front of the stadium gates.) Turn right again to proceed
to the gatehouse (Gate #8 on the map) and stop there for
directions and a parking permit.
How to get from the E12 lot to CHDD
Use the pedestrian signals at the Montlake Blvd. and NE
Pacific St. intersection to cross to the west side of Montlake
Blvd. Head south on Montlake Blvd. toward the drawbridge.
Just before the drawbridge, turn right onto an asphalt path
that leads into a landscaped area of South Campus. Follow
the asphalt path curving to the right and then bear left
down the hill to Columbia
Road, the street that runs between the UW Medical Center
and CHDD. CHDD is housed in three buildings on your
left. Signs point to the various units within CHDD.
