HOME Clinical Services Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy focuses on a child’s ability to participate successfully in “occupations” or activities that are meaningful and relevant to age or developmental level. Our OT specialist evaluates children with an emphasis on sensory processing, motor development, and the ability to self-regulate arousal and emotions. Individualized sensory and motor recommendations are provided that can be incorporated daily into home and school programs. Additional areas of specialty include handwriting, self-help and oral-motor skills. Occupational therapy services include family or school consultation, evaluation, and individual or small group treatments.
