Chill Skills Workshop:

Emotion Regulation Support for Older Children and Adolescents
with Asperger's and Related Disorders

Training for parents, educators, and clinicians working with children 9 to 18 years old

Participants will learn:

  • The links between thoughts, emotions, and behavior
  • How to talk with your child/client/student about their behavior
  • How to watch for signs of building stress and re-direct the child to planned strategies
  • Which strategies work best for your child/client/student
  • How to use visual supports to teach coping strategies

 

This workshop is led by Leah Altemeier, Ph.D., and Julie George, M.Ed., BCBA. The Chill Skills Workshops are generally held at the UW Autism Center in Seattle from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Clock hours and CEUs are available upon request.
