Artisan Tile NW presents:

7th Annual Handmade Tile Show and Sale

Sponsored by Artisan Tile NW and UW Botanical Gardens

The theme for this year’s Handmade Tile Festival is botanicals. The 2012 festival will feature a juried show with botanical themed tiles. Enjoy meeting the artists, tile making workshops, the tile sale, door prizes, and garden art and see tile pictures from around the world.

The festival will also be celebrating Iris and Bob Jewett of Wilburton Pottery this year. Wilburton pottery produces amazing botanical tiles, and the  Jewett’s are the founders of the Bellevue Botanical Garden.

The festival takes place at the Center for Urban Horticulture with an opening reception November 2, from 7 – 9 pm. The show and sale is November 3, from 10 am – 5 pm.

I found some of my very favorite tiles at their sale two years ago, then located in Madison Park. It’s great to hear that it will be taking place at CUH this year! I’m so looking forward to seeing what these artists are creating now. These tiles make wonderful holiday gifts.
