Support UW Botanic Gardens
You won't find any fences or membership fees at the UW Botanic Gardens. The gardens at the Washington Park Arboretum, the Center for Urban Horticulture, and the Union Bay Natural Area are freely accessible to the public. We therefore depend on the support of individuals and organizations in order to continue to provide high-quality plant displays, information, and programs.
Give a Donation
Gifts of every size have a major impact on our programs. Your investment makes a difference in the quality of the educational, research and community outreach experiences offered at the UW Botanic Gardens. Funding from the State of Washington only covers 31% of the cost of running our programs and taking care of our beautiful 330 acres, therefore, we count on our visitors, friends and alumni to help support our efforts and continue to expand the services and classes we offer our students and the community. Read more about specific needs from our wish list.
Volunteer
The gardens depend on people like you! More than 500 volunteers give 10,000 hours each year to the University of Washington Botanic Gardens. Learn new skills while you contribute to plant conservation and education. We have volunteer opportunities for everyone.
