Panel discussion-based events featuring bioengineering industry professionals are held periodically throughout the year. Panels typically include 4-5 company or organization representatives, and topics are aimed at UW undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, alumni and bioengineering industry professionals.

Local Industry Spotlight
Interested in finding out what is going on in the biomedical industry outside of academic circles? The UW BioE Affiliates Program is hosting occasional panel discussions with scientists and engineers to come share their insights into the state of the industry and help students learn how to position themselves to work with biomedical companies after graduation.

These flexible industry panel discussions may be formatted to:

  • Dive deep into one core research area, with a handful of industry professionals discussing one topic from a variety of perspectives
  • Explore several core research areas, with a variety of industry professionals and research topics

Women in BioE
What’s it like to be a woman in the bioengineering industry? Come hear women bioengineers share their perspectives. This panel discussion, aimed at women in science and engineering, will answer questions about navigating the industry. We anticipate that the panel will include women from across the bioengineering spectrum, and those who are in early-career, mid-career, established researcher and CEO roles. All students are welcome.
