Helping Women Launch
The mission of Women in Business is to provide the women of University of Washington, Bothell’s MBA program access to resources to further their academic, social, and professional development.
Connecting with local and international women community leaders through events such as an interactive speaker series, diverse networking opportunities, and a source for news and information, our goal is to empower women to launch the next stage of their career.
There are two main parts to the WiB group; our first is a quarterly speaker series. Our speakers were selected based on their leadership skills, business knowledge, and ability to inspire. We look to have multiple speakers for each event.
Tentative dates for the 2012-13 school year:

MBA Women International
The second component to the WiB program is the creation of a UW charter membership into the Women MBA International organization. MBAWI has a wealth of resources available to members including webinars, networking opportunities, and a national conference that includes a nationwide job fair. There is a small yearly membership fee for access to MBAWI’s resources.
From their website:
“MBA Women International is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering female business professionals, to assisting women into leadership positions in business, and to enhancing the diversity of the workforce worldwide.”
Even though the title is “Women” in Business, everyone is welcome and hope you will join us. Both women and men should find value in the guest speakers and resources available.
