Elizabeth Scallon

Associate Director, New Ventures Facility

Elizabeth Scallon is the Associate Director of the New Venture Facilities, which is focused on helping UW start-up companies. Prior to joining the Center for Commercialization team in 2013, Elizabeth was the Senior Operations Manager for VLST Corporation, a biotech firm in Seattle researching novel approaches to autoimmune diseases. Elizabeth managed the Operations and Facilities including two company-wide relocation projects with tenant improvements and running the Mini-Incubator, providing space and services to four startup biotechnology companies. Prior to VLST, Elizabeth was the Lab Manager and Research Associate at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, establishing the laboratory with a new Principal Investigator, months ahead of schedule. Ms. Scallon received her Global Executive MBA from Georgetown University and ESADE, Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Seattle University. In addition, Elizabeth is an avid volunteer, artist and glassblower.
