Jessica Meyers manages all aspects of patent prosecution for engineering-related technologies, including computer and medical device technologies. She works closely with UW researchers, Center for Commercialization (C4C) technology managers, and outside counsel to achieve strong patent protection for UW technologies. Prior to joining the C4C in December 2010, Jessica was a patent attorney at Perkins Coie LLP, focusing on computer, business method, and mechanical technologies. She was involved in both patent prosecution and litigation, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications and analyzing patents with regard to asset strength, validity, and infringement. Jessica earned her B.S in computer science from the University of Puget Sound and her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. She has also worked as an Internet Public Interest Opportunities Program Clerk for the Electronic Privacy Information Center and as a Legislative Intern for United States Senator Patty Murray, both in Washington, D.C.
