Arzeda reaches first milestone in technology collaboration with Pioneer Hi-Bred

University of Washington spin-out Arzeda has reached its first milestone in a multi-year technology collaboration with Pioneer Hi-Bred. Pioneer Hi-Bred is a Dupont business and based out of Iowa.

Using computational protein design technology licensed through the UW’s Center for Commercialization, Arzeda is working to develop custom designed enzymes that are of commercial significance to Pioneer Hi-Bred in the areas of gene discovery and agricultural solutions.

Arzeda’s technology originated in the lab of professor David Baker, an internationally renowned biochemist with the University of Washington. Reaching this initial milestone is an important step for Arzeda as it is the first commercial validation of their technology.
