UW Spinout Physware Raises $6.9M, Changes Name to Nimbic

Nimbic LogoPhysware, a University of Washington spin-out founded in 2006 by Electrical Engineering Professor Vikram Jandhyala, has raised $6.9M in Series B Financing and changed its name to Nimbic. Physware was featured in a recent case study by the Center for Commercialization.

Nimbic, a leading provider of SaaS-based, cloud-computing electronic design automation (EDA) solutions, announced that new investor Austral Capital, and existing investors Madrona Venture Group and WRF Capital, have collectively invested $6.9 million in venture funding. This funding will enable Nimbic to accelerate the deployment of the company’s cloud efforts in 3D electromagnetic signal integrity, power integrity and EMI analysis field solutions.
