Seattle Times: UW ITHS received its second five-year, $65 million grant from NIH to fund translational science
UW’s Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS), a partnership between the University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital and other regional institutions along with community and tribal groups, has received its second five-year $65 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The money will fund the translation of researchers’ discoveries into useful medical products, and in the process return some of the public’s investment to the research institutions and to the region.
