Interdisciplinary Modeling of the Human Body from Head to Toe

The Center for Computational Biomechanics is a interdisciplinary research and education unit aimed at encouraging and facilitating multi-scale modeling of biological systems.  We serve the University of Washington College of Engineering and provide a central local for integrating biomechanics teaching and research.

This site is intended to serve as a reference for the Center for Computational Biomechanics.  You can find the specifications for our computer cluster and the software available in the resources tab.  The mission of this facility is an instructional teaching lab as well as research center.  If you are interested in joining the Center for Computational Biomechanics, please contact the system administrator.  New users within the CCB are responsible for following our Facilities Use Agreement and conducting themselves in accordance with UW policies.  Once part of this center, you will join numerous other students and faculty aimed at modeling the mechanics of biologic systems.  Together this community supports one another through active learning and an online Discussion Forum (Moodle).  Your active participation in this Center will facilitate your learning as well as stimulate our interdisciplinary community and advance human health through biomechanics modeling.
