Previous Projects of the UW Twin Registry
Several researchers have used the information from the brief initial survey to conduct twin studies of various conditions. These studies did not require additional contact with twins or additional data.

The Immune System in Herpes Simplex-1
This pilot study is focused on determining the feasibility of studying how a person's immune system
may affect herpes virus outbreaks. Dr. Anna Wald of the University of Washington Virology Research Clinic in the Department of Medicine leads this
project, in which the immune system in pairs of twins infected with oral herpes will be examined in the laboratory.
