Technical Assistance

The Center supports school and district leaders by providing consulting expertise in a variety of content, leadership and organizational areas.

Examples of consultant services:

• Providing direct coaching for principals and assistant principals
• Facilitating a school or district team in an analysis of achievement data and development of a plan to address the achievement gap between white students and students of color
• Helping school or district leaders examine their school/district policies, practices and structures to identify inequities that may be contributing to the achievement gap
• Helping school or district leaders develop a public engagement effort to involve parents and community members in providing extended learning opportunities for students
• Assessing math and literacy programs to identify the degree of curriculum alignment and quality of instructional practices
• Conducting a comprehensive systems analysis to identify how well the district is positioned to provide system-wide leadership necessary to eliminate the achievement gap.
