UWCFD Charity Fair & Silent Auction
The 2016 UW Combined Fund Drive campaign kicked off Thursday, October 13, 2016, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the HUB Ballroom. The fair featured more than 80 nonprofits, cupcakes from Trader Joe’s – University District, and a silent auction benefiting Holocaust Center for Humanity which raised $3,423. Donations were made to the coin jar for the Holocaust Center and guest filled the bin with food donations for the new UW Campus Food Pantry.
Door Prize Winners
Grand prize winner Wayne Lampel, National Primate Research Center, won two tickets to the October 23 Seattle Sounders game.
In addition, Lee Beckley, Spanish & Portuguese Studies, has won a $5 Starbucks card; Carole Grayson, Student Legal Services, won a tote bag compliments of Seattle Ronald McDonald House; Barbara Petite, Cataloging and Metadata Services, won two sets of playing cards from St. Matthew School; Jiangbo Yu, Chemistry, won a $5 Starbucks gift card; and Tara Cannava, Hall Health Center, won a Community Health Charities stainless steel water bottle.
The winner of the Inspirus Credit Union drawing for a GoPro camera is Jiangbo Yu.
