| 9:00 PM | Art Event Indulge in utter deBASHery: A Summer Night of Passion. Henry Art Gallery. When the Henry and the summer solstice collide, it can only mean one thing: The BASH is back. This year's BASH is an indulgent solstice soiree of passionate proportions! From 9:00 pm to midnight on Saturday, June 23, the Henry celebrates the fourth anniversary of its expansion with another artful party. deBASHery: A Summer Night of Passion promises an evening of sensual indulgence and pagan revelry. The passion at the center of the BASH is the artist participation, offering guests the signature opportunity to purchase art by well-known and up-and-coming artists. More than two hundred regional artists will create artworks inspired by the solstice and with utter debauchery - or in this case, deBASHery - in mind. What will show up in the artists' work? Images of paganism? sun worship in the land of perpetual rain? or appliances (the contemporary gift appropriate for a fourth anniversary)? Sorting out these exciting details is the charge of the crafty group we call the Bash Artist Committee. In the tradition of previous BASH blow-outs, all works, either by renowned or emerging artists, are sold anonymously - and all for a set price of $200. Bash tickets are on sale now.
