Masculinities: Belief, Being and (Re)Action

The Masculinities research cluster aims to develop a shared understanding of interdisciplinary scholarship in the field and to provide opportunities for participants to develop their own work and perspectives among a community of scholars, as well as space for developing collaborative projects.

This first year of the research cluster will focus on making connections among faculty and graduate students studying, researching and teaching about masculinities. In addition, the research cluster aims to forge a sustainable intellectual community for ongoing conversation and collaboration.

Project Goals

• Plan a small-scale regional conference on masculinities in 2013;
• Find meaningful ways to connect work up with community organizations and projects; 
• Plan future events and activities based upon participants‘ specific interests and needs.
